I don’t know if you keep a gratitude journal or not but I do, and so does Missy. We don’t always remember to write in them though and I’m hoping you can help me with this.
I’m proposing that we spoonies unite on Twitter with a daily gratitude tweet using the hashtag, #SpoonieDailyGratitude. You can then keep me tweeting and looking for the good in every day, and I’ll keep tabs on you as well to give you momentum.
Keeping a gratitude journal is a great way of looking for the good in every day, especially our darkest ones. Missy was really poorly in the New Year with a viral infection on top of her fibro. She really was sick. But bless her, she wrote in her journal that she was grateful for comfy pyjamas and a cuddly cat. She’s 10 and she taught me a valuable lesson that day. It’s more important to write on our worst days as it helps us to get through them.
So please join me over on twitter. My handle is @tysiriolceramic. Try to tweet a #SpoonieDailyGratitude each day and I will try as well. If you can try to snap a pic as well.
I’m hoping that we can help each other to develop a habit of looking for the good each day, no matter how small it might seem. Remember, the small things in life often turn out to be the big things, so we don’t want to miss them.
Today I am grateful for:
- A good night’s sleep
- Lots of cuddles with my cat, Suki
- The blossom starting to bloom on my pear tree outside my window
